They are indeed “scabs”. It’s all relative, if you worked there Im sure you’d be right there in that strike with every other employee. Most of these people aren’t in their 20’s anymore. They have multiple children, wives and homes and all the bills that come with owning a home to pay for. When your wages are suddenly cut in half, and the pension and retirement you were going to live off of suddenly aren’t there, what the fuck are you going to do??? Perhaps people who don’t experience these things should stay the fuck out of the argument. Because of these companies “cost cutting” my step-dad will more than likely be out of a job soon and our ENTIRE family will probably have to move out of state.
