Google+ isn’t as active with stupid stuff that Facebook is but the value added to Google itself is huge. They used to have a ton of metrics on the searching and now they can tie that info to specific users. ---

Google should buy facebook tomorrow in a $120BB hostile takeover and bring G+ functionality to all of the users locked into Facebook. That’d be sweet. ---

I have no problem contributing to google+, using the explore tab and seeing the top trending items there are always things to participate in ---

There is a new local tab on the Desktop version of Google+ (it’s in Google Maps on smartphones and tablets). Basically it finds nearby eats, shops, etc. based on your location. It replaced Google Places and integrates with ratings from Zagats. Pretty cool. Also anyone do a hangout yet? Did one with the fiancee and it worked really nicely, albeit we were a foot away from each other. ---
