they are legit pretty awesome little cameras…a few people on my other forums have them and they have nothing but awesome things to say about them…
and as far as i know yes gearheads the only ones that got em…

The original go-pro was junk. Cool idea, but awful video quality.
Hopefully the HD version is way better, and in 1080p.

vot vot bought the flipvid HD thing, which from the videos i’ve seen isn’t good unless the camera is perfectly still and the mic isnt impressive
and benny is too stupid to buy anything remotely as cool as a gopro HD so thats doubtful.

I’ll be getting some HD units in to see how they work. They are available, I just don’t stock them yet. We’ll also be offering a “ready to record” package like with the non HD, but it will be a little more $ because of the different storage card required.
PJB - the quality of the non HD ones is dependent on how you convert the video file. The file sizes can get huge unless you convert them into something a little smaller and with that said the quality suffers a little. I have a couple up on my site if you’re interested to see the non HD version.

it’s not the HD, it’s the Wide SD. It’s pretty sweet, not production quality but it rocks.

Xvid converts quite well with minimal loss
theirs others obviously but i love xvid and theres some free conversion programs that convert xvid quite well

The non-hd ones couldnt me easier. Editing with windows movie maker and it’s drag and drop.

i was gonna get one for xmas but money was tight so i didn’t. they look awesome and the video quality is up there from their demo vids.
