# Got booted from PF, go to Golds or Best?

Apparently if you lift too heavy of weights you’re not allowed to workout at planet fitness. I have been officially kicked out of there. It was a bit of a surprise when I showed up this morning and they told me my membership has been canceled and to get out. I went right to golds in guilderland and am doing the 7 day free membership. I need to sign up somewhere but dont know which gym to choose. Golds or Best seem to be the best options.
Its like $20 per month at golds, plus some amount down, no tanning.
Its $25 per month at Best, including tanning.

I been going to the latham golds for a couple yrs now. Great staff and the place is well maintained. Also there is ABC in latham which is 24/7 not a bad choice to.

LOL! go to best fitness then, thats where i go. they def wont kick you out for lifting to much. theres plenty of angry juice heads there.

I should really start doing that as I have no other time to do any sort of strength training. I do judo 6:30-8:30pm, and 11-1 when I’m not working and Saturdays. Where do you go?

I miss the BF on altamont ave in schenectady when it was leons center. Me and my dad both worked out there for 3-4 years before it went to PF. Even during the initial switch to the PF franchise it wasn’t that bad at all. Then they took out the 50lb dumbells, then one of the kids that worked there told my dad he couldn’t wear a do-rag, but its fine to wear a backwards hat. My dad cancelled on the spot and went to BF.
Me and a buddy went and were doing leg presses, he was doing 800… was grunting a little bit… I was doing 600 and they told us to keep it down…
Fuck that shit… Place caters to the metrosexual yuppies… and don’t want people to feel intimidated.

Lol, lifting heavy weights wont get you kicked out of PF, at least not the one in Delmar. Is that where you were? It’s been a couple years but I used to lift there and they never said a single thing to me with 400+ on the bar and more than that on the squat rack. Now, if people are yelling and generally acting like douches, that’s a different story. I was always to myself and quiet.
Not trying to be a dick, but most places don’t give a shit how much weight you lift. I am pretty sure you can go to Gold’s, wherever they are now, and scream your brains out if that helps you lift and they wont give a shit one way or the other. No clue what they charge, though, tough to beat $10 a month at PF (couple years ago anyway)

ABC used to be great, they even gave our team free memberships at the time, and a few of us used to go in around midnight (before all these other places stayed open late) so it was convenient.
Lot’s of “connections” there too a few years back, or so I heard.
