Played for a long while at JVG’s
Doesn’t seem worth the wait. Seems more like a typical followup to the last game. Nothing revolutionary.
I like the series I really do, I would have even bought a ps3 for it if it was amazing but it’s just meh.
I’m not a Forza fan boi, I don’t own any of them but from what I’ve seen they are more aimed at enthusiasts with the swaps and car builds.
GTA might have better graphics and physics but menu wise/garage/build/customitization Forza wins.
I was trying to see how to turn off the racing line for approach and leave it just for braking… You can’t.
I was trying to see how to clear up the screen of times, position, etc to make it more realisic as I was playing on the awesome chair build by Boxersix… You can’t.

you can clean the screen, and you can turn off the line.
i’ll put money down that says more customization options will be available very shortly thru an upgrade pack, there is a spot in the GT auto that allows you to change stuff up like in forza.
as for engine swaps, it kinda sucks, but power is power. what bugs me is if you install a turbo you still have no BOV noise, same goes for a supercharger

I strongly dislike the lack of a clutch button. Other than that the game is pretty fun.

Rally racing is sooooo much fun. Other that that, though, I dont see any noticeable advantages over FM3. I’m sure FM4 will have dirt/snow rally so I’m not even close to considering a PS3/GT5 purchase. Plus, I would never buy a wheel and pedals setup for either so FM3 wins by a mile because you can modulate the pedals, unlike GT5 where it’s pretty much an on or off switch.

Interior is not in all cars.
R32 VW sounded like a Civic even with an exhaust.
Brew - you can get rid of line entirely or have it fully on. You can’t have it just for braking.
Found an old Forza 2 and playing it now. Enjoying it more then I did GT5 last night.

In GT4 the buttons on the controller were pressure sensitive, harder you press the more throttle/brake is applied, is that gone in GT5?

Ps3 can output to both HDMI and the reg component rcas, at the same time you know good sir. Thats how mine is, I have sound through the tv and the surround sound, at the same time! Nuts. The keys are pressure sensitive still… Forza is a cartoony arcade game. I had some friends over last night, and we got into Blur… BUT I will catch those of you that have now surpassed me. lol Im out.

I couldn’t get the hang of it. A trigger is much more intuitive for a gas or brake pedal than a button is anyways haha
