What up gang… currently sitting in the Ramada Plaza on El Segundo Blvd (of Tribe Called Quest fame) I’ve just been at AEM for the last 2 days for factory tuner training. Unreal! The facility we were in was the production facility for their hard goods (cam gears, rails, intakes) but also the test facility for the AEM sponsored drift cars. Tanners’ drift 350z just sitting there. The one time in my life I dont have my camera. Then there’s this dude there that looks familiar. Fukin Stephen Papadakis just cruising around loading tires up to go for a practice session. Look out side. Sure enough his drift s2K is there. R-E-T-A-R-D-E-D! He was loading tires up and pulling them out of this room that probably had 30 or 40 tires all mounted already on Motegi Touge’s. I talked to him a bit and he told me those tires would proably last him about a week of testing. Crazy cars… SC400s, Lancers, Vipers, S2K’s, 350z…not to mention what I saw on the street just walking around. Anyway, just checking in…later. It better not be snowing there! ---

I’m jealous too. I want to get down to LA to become an AEM factory tuner as well god dammit. but more than that i want a shop there where there are nice cars EVERYWHERE and its NEVER cold ---

Yeah the car culture down there is pretty wild. But things are definitely shifting away from the hyped imports. Owning a done Civic or Teg is passe and doristyle is still pretty fringe…hot shit there is VIP sedans and SUVs. 3-series and G35 are the new Civics! LOL that looks like a prime candidate for Pimp My Ride! I can just picture the owner of that car: “I like surfing, chilling with my friends and smoking weed… oh and I play the guitar whenever I’m sober… it’s mostly half-ass actually… please MTV, PIMP MY RIDE!!!”
