# gt2871r running on stock

Ok. So my stock turbo (t25 retop sr) is boinked. I ordered a gt2871r and Taka lines from Bing. I figured I would upgrade now rather than getting a stock repacement and having to do it later but I don’t have any upgraded injectors or z32 mafs just a upgraded manifold, full 3" exhaust wlbro 255 fuel pump. So my question is, will I have any trouble running this turbo at STOCK boost levels until I upgrade everything else?

id get on those injectors fast.
You can do it but i think you will max out the stockers at about 5lbs.

GT2871 w/ internal wastegate
will creep to 12psi
9-10psi is 100% injector duty cycle
figure it out
that being said i did a drift day with my HKS GT-RS with 370cc injectors a while back and there was no problem, then again i was letting off whenever it creeped above 9psi

Yup - what these guys said - I was maxing out stock 370s on a 0.6bar wastegate spring…with the 0.86

Now then, I’m buying G’s power FC, and was wondering about cold starts and cold weather. I drive my car year round and have read about problems with the cold. Any thoughts

It can be solved… it’s just the the temp correction tables that come from Apexi are junk…so that’s why guys have issues with them.

I’d like to add to this…
Im running on a GTiR T28 and running @ 9psi… My Injector duty is 98.7% and my MAFS reading is 4.92V. Meaning the Injectors are running static and if the boost got any higher the MAFS would fry as they max out @ 5V.
Luckly for me thou I dont get any boost creep.
But in other words… If anyone plans on going bigger then their T25 (you need Injectors/MAFS regardless) or their is no point in doing it.

Just to clairify. I was only asking because I need to keep the car on the road and I can’t afford any downtime. I will be adding injectors ect… soon 🙂

They don’t fry, they just don’t conitnue to read the increase in air.
