There are a lot of really great reviews about the gsg-5 out there. Also a bunch of youtube videos. I would love to get my hands on this, upgrade to a red dot or similar, and have one pretty bad ass rimfire rifle. It uses the same railing system as the mp-5, so the tactical goodies are pretty abundant.

200 yards (600 ft.) I highly doubt it with even high velocity .22s like stingers. I could believe 200-300 ft. but not yards

that’s a decent hands-on review with a pre-release model.
this was cci stingers at 25 yards… they say a better aiming system would do wonders, or these guys are just shitty at shooting. regardless, it’s pretty tight for a 17 inch barrel semi-auto with with a sighting system designed for close-range.

I would like to see some groupings off a bench rest. But, even so rimfire ammunition is so hit-or-miss… literally.

This thing is sweet., !st thing first is to make my 10 rd clip larger. than find a nice red dot.
i got 10 round into it and that was about it, got dark.
I’m going to the range today I’ll see how it goes.
If anyone else is intrested I know another store thats getting one in

Be careful about how big you make that magazine. Magazines over 10 rounds are illegal unless they are older than 94’ and being caught with one, is a felony that will remove your rights to own any firearms. Just watch the cornhole. I might skirt rules, or flat out break them, just watch where you take it. That particular firearm will draw attention, and at an indoor range with an illegal magazine isn’t good.
PS you have to bring it to an NYSpeed gun outing if we ever have one.

wow i didnt realize it was that serious to have that. screw it then I’ll just get another 10 round so i can swap out quick.
thanks for the info, and you are right this thing will draw some attention.
I’m having some fun with it shooting at random things. I’m awaiting my buddy to go to the range with.
Are lasers also illegal?

Lasers are legal. I’m on AR15. There is a search. High-cap mags are not a Federal offense anymore. It’s only a state law now. If you move to PA you can have all the high-cap magazines you want.

Yea you will need a rail for that. That is a airsoft knock off, which is fine for plinking, but don’t put it on a home defense gun, cause it might not be reliable.
I havn’t read where it is illegal to have a laser on a firearm, and beleive that in this state there probably is such a law. I know its illegal to hunt with one, looking to find where its illegal to have one period. I know its also illegal to have a mock flare/grenade launcher, or a night vision scope on your gun. YAY NYS!!!

night vision scope is illegal to??? fuck me
what happens if im caught with one of them?
and I got about 150 rounds into the GSG, sights are still alittle off, but under rapid fire i was able to plink over some fake chickens at 30 yards sweeping and just hitting the full stand up one.
I’m very happy with the gun. I think i know what I’m going to mount on it
