I was at flix with my gf…saw We’re the Millers…go see it. Anyway our show got out at 11ish and the bright lights came on and theatre staff came in and said they were on lockdown and we were not to leave or go near the windows. We could sit in the theatre or the hall. All total about 75 people were out in the main hall between the theatre and the lobby. They gave us free pop and popcorn while we were there. Cops came in a few times with updates…most updates came from people on their phones. Just walked in the door and will read the whole thread now. Edit. What I did learn is that people younger than 24 years of age are doomed in this world. When a police officer says you do not go in front of the windows…you dont moon walk or taunt a supposed gunman near the windows. To every guy that was there in the same age bracket talking about how you hoped he came in the door so you could fight him…please shut up and sit down. It was def. interesting to be involved in the situation but I can safely say at 32 years old, I watched a failed social experiment. The mature people maybe 12 of us stayed together and didnt comment or make assumptions…listened to the police and just remained quiet for a few hours. The younger people…good luck. ---

So let me make sure i got all this straight dudebro is down cause his girl broke up with him says fuck it, goes on an adventure, ends up climbing on a, what, 1 story building? has a couple brews up top, enjoys the view someone jumps the gun (pun intended?) and calls the cops saying there is a shooter on the roof they shut down everything in the area, no gun, dude was just drunk is that it? Pretty much the helicopter said a number of times from the beginning they didn’t see a gun. People who were evacuated from walmart/target were posting on the wgrz/wivb facebook accounts saying the police mentioned the guy had a sniper rifle. ---
