Just under two weeks ago I dislocated my shoulder in a hockey game and my team orthopedic thinks I’ll need surgery once the year is over. I’d still like to get a second opinion from someone in the Buffalo area. Anybody have any good experience with a certain orthopedic? So far the top two orthopedics I’ve been recommended are Northtown Orthopedics and University Orthopedics. My shoulder is healing pretty fast so I’m hopeful that maybe surgery won’t be necessary. Either way, I just want to see what another orthopedic thinks. Thanks in advance! ---

i asked my sister what the options are in buffalo (she separated her shoulder playing high school, went to college for sports medicine) I’ll let you know what she says ---

i dunno. all in all I ended up with 7 screws, metal rings, wires, rope stuff…didnt get the flame thrower I wanted though :tdown: ---

lol i was just there monday. i was chasing a dump-in and the dude i was racing with pulled me down right before the boards. sliding on my back head first into the corner, I pulled my head in so I wouldn’t get knocked out. back took all the impact. Shouldn’t have played but I played pickup 5 days later; picked it up on the half wall, d man pinched and laid me the fuck out. now i have back spasms or something. been out 5 weeks today. going stir crazy. ---

Dr Shields did my shoulder same thing as you also did my wrist when i broke it great guy hes located on sheridan and parker ---

i tore my rotator cuff and labrum (??Spelling) playing college ball. I got mine done by Dr.Wind through UB medical. Awesome guy. Know a few other fellow players that also got it done by him. ---

i had a torn labrum (of the bankart lesion) also caused during hockey and had surgery for it about 6 months ago. did a great job. went to Dr. Stube @ the Knee Center of WNY ---

Northtown Orthopedics im there now for my knee… i fucked up my shoulder to from pitching back in high school, i never got it looked at but i sure do wish i did now…still hurts
