# Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3

For all us comic nerds this is pretty interesting.
It seems they have added the character of Gwen Stacy for spidy 3.
For those who don’t know Gwen was Parkers first love, but was killed during a battle with the Green Goblin over the Brooklyn Bridge. Since the first movie placed Mary-Jane as Parkers first love and the girl that was involved in the bridge battle, it is odd to see that the writers of Spidy 3 would include her.
Since the first two movies were amazing I will not critique why they added her character until after the movie is released.

i think the producers may be trying to safeguard the franchise. I don’t think Dunst wants to continue her role as MJ pass the spidey3 - this could be a good opportunity to have MJ and Gwen switch roles and have them kill off MJ and keep Gwen around.

:word: She said she doesn’t want to do more than 3 of the movies. Which kind of makes sense but hey… you know the movie will do amazing and make you the $$$ you are probably looking for.

No way can you kill off MJ and replace her with Gwen. Personaly I hope they stick with only three movies and then put effor towards other comics. Or maybe experiment with crossover movies.

Not until we see Venom/Carnage in a spiderman movie. The effects of the symbiotes would be so sweet to see.

:word: tthat what i have been pushing for 2 years, my guess is that the sandman and Eddy will be in this one. nut 2 ended with the introduction of the symbiote.

mmmmm carnage… they introduced the astronaut in the last movie so it is plausible to have the opening a return trip carrying the goo… I don’t know how it will do in the movie tho… the bad guys have been very “techno-earth” as they relate better in a theater. The guy (brock?) will have to play a HUGE role in the movie to keep it entertaining for a wide audience outside of those of us that hang out in the nerd corner.
but it would be hella sweet…

I like Venom more, but Carnage was just psychotic…hes totally bad ass though.

it would be cool if it was venom for the villian.[looks like he possible could be](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0413300/) I dont think its possible to have carnage yet. harry being the hob goblin would just be over kill with the whole goblin deal. the word is its going to be sandman for the villan played by Tomas Haden Church

I remember reading in the paper months ago that the villians were going to be Sandman and Venom, also remember reading a short interview with an actress (Elisha Cuthbert or something, I can’t remember who) and she said she was asked to play Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) but she turned it down…
