Just means we are getting big enough to start attracting bot/hacker attention. A little more cleaning/moderating, back up more often and we should be good to go. I think we were bum rushed by hackers today as the view count hit 40K + for the night, when it usually averages 20K. :ponder ---

Yea , we should now introduce the image verification to register now, so that bots cannot just go signing up. SMF is a widely used forum software, so many idiots around the world have studied it in and out enough to be able to script a bot to sniff SMF installations throughout the web , and then automate the registration process, post the spam, and move on to the next forum… So… image verification will rid tis ---

its just spam thats all, no hacking at all… so dont worry we aint gettin hacked… I might go do some image verification if I have the spare time over the weekend. But to be honest im not really worried about it. We have some healthy moderators here. You can all do the mods some help and report any spam that you see. When posts are reported action is taken VERY quickly so I think there won’t be any problem with that. ---
