> [@Jack"](#): > > **THE BIRD IS THE WORD** DUDE!!! i’ve got a ridiculous story that concluded with this song!!! the story doesn’t even do it justice! wow super-short cliffs version: we had new welder last year. basic job description was he was a torch, grinder, and welder. worked with heavy equipment. this guy was weird. big fellow, looked like he came from the 80s with his tight jean jacket and jeans. goofy big hair. he was real quiet, seemed lonely, but if you would talk to him he wouldn’t stfu and stop telling his wierd stories. we always suspected he was on meds. kinda looked like this, but with short hair (long 80s dirty business cut): a couple months down the line his behavior became increasingly WIERD. and he was a dangerous worker to be next to, aka flying into the shop full speed with a forklift, with a 5,000lb dump body on it, then dropping it. would say stupid things. he always said weird things to my sister (who also works there), and you could tell he liked her. one day at the lunch table all the guys and my sister were laughing about something totally irrelavant and he goes “ahahahaha, ohh, i love you keri” ! we all just stop and look at each other like W T F (bird reference coming) one day he just doesn’t show up for work. no call, nothing. at like 1pm, he comes flying in the shop in street clothes on his shitty 80’s dirtbike. he is wearing a GRINDING SHIELD AS A HELMET! HAHAHA. our managers walk over and are like “wtf is going on”. (mind you, his behavior has been extremely bizarre lately, extremely) he goes "i was really worried about my bird, he ate some comet (dish soap). THEN HE PROCEEDS TO TAKE HIS BIRD OUT OF HIS PANTS POCKET! AHHHHHAHAHA. HE PUTS THE BIRD ON HIS SHOULDER, AND IT IMMEDIATELY FALLS TO THE FLOOR. hahahahaha they told him to get the fuck out of there. next day he came in and was fired. he was whining for his job and becoming hostile. our service manager, a much smaller guy, but one who used to be a biker, black belt, and doesnt take shit form anybody slammed his fist on the table so loud that the ladies in the office RAN out because they thought there was a gun shot. he told him to get the fuck off the premises from that day on, this character was known as “THE BIRD MAN”, and “THE BIRD IS THE WORD” is his theme song. lol that was a really… interesting time… lol ---
