hey, does anyone know where to find what the compression ratio will be when you replace the headgasket on the sr. Lets say if you put a .8 gasket compared to a 1.8? I’ve tried to do the math but i need to know the volume of the combustion chamber, deck height and volume on top of the piston.

The compresion ratio will only change about + or - .2

Get the head decked, ask them how much they took off. Buy a Head gasket accordingly.

If you are buying a gasket to change compression ratio, well good luck

Thicker head gasket= Band aid

A good tune will stretch the head gasket to its maximum limits. A bad tune will blow a head gasket before its limits.
