# Helicopter @ UB North 3:40PM 8/22/08

Anyone know why a helicopter has been circling UB North for the last 20 minutes or so? Not close enough to read the markings but I’m assuming it has to be police because Mercy Flight would have landed by now.

when I was at UB the ROTC did helipcotor rides over the campus. Its probably something similar. The landed and took off from the soccer fields along the Autoban.
You can get a ride if you give your information, pretend like you are interested etc…

Unless we went back in time, google was no help.

Generally people who are in the area of a news story would know what was going on hours before it was officially reported by the media, especially the WEB news that requires some web guy to update the story online.
UB has an emergency alert system that will blast out emails/text messages in the event of an on campus security issue, so that too would be a case where an NYSpeeder might know about something before the news reported it.

Didn’t they do a photo with all the students in shirts from a helicopter last year with all of the students in the courtyard by the union in blue shirts?
I am pretty sure it would be photos since all the freshman moved in yesterday and today.

That’s what it was.
The students were idiots this year. They even have dots to stand on and they kept fucking up and getting told to move left, move right.
This years students are extra “special” I can say first hand.
