Well, I’ve been down here since Monday AM at the new ‘job’, and I can’t say that I’m all that happy… Came down here with minimal information about the job (military contract blah), and it turns out that I’m working 6 days a week, which leaves me with basically no time to come home. I’ve never been one to ‘live to work’, I’ve always ‘worked to live’, so living in a hotel, going to work and coming back and repeating it the next day is basically the worst thing imaginable for me (career wise), I mean I knew that was what I was getting into but I thought that I’d be able to come home 1x a week. On the brightside, I’ll be able to pay off all of my debt fairly quickly with the money that I am making down here (~100K a year after taxes), but I’m not a very happy camper in the meantime. Anyway, I’m done crying, I hope everyone is doing well and I’ll try to check in when I can. -T PS, the weights at Golds feel heavier then the weights at the gym at home, ha. ---

Interesting to see that you’ve found your price (for the moment). It’s not necessarily to work a job you don’t enjoy for a small time frame for good money, but making a long term career out of it becomes dreadful. I’m personally one of those people that would rather be just making ends meet but “never working” resulting from enjoying what you do instead of counting down the minutes of a day to end for a nicer paycheck. ---
