# Helmet Help?

I want to do the track event, but bills kept me from getting the helmet…
now that i feel stupid and helmetless where can i get an approved helmet?

Borrow from people that already have one. It’s the cheapest solution, and people around here are friendly enough to let your borrow it at track events.

i dont think they’ll let me do that … 3 times? yeah… i think i need one… plus it could be useful for everyday life… like leaving my house…

Shit man, normally at our events when I’m running the timing system, my helmet is available to anyone who needs it. As long as you don’t have a sweaty head. SWEATY HEADS NO ES BUENO! 😃

Last track event I went too I did nothing but borrow helmets. If I come to the next one, I won’t be driving so I’ll just bring my helmet.

… so i have to trade power for AC so i dont sweat… this could be complicated…
anyone want to lend me there car too? …
i might have to steal your helmet…

Whatever. I’m sure there are a million people out there on an average track day that would be willing to lend you a helmet. We’re all in it together! 🙂
And no, you don’t have to keep your A/C on. Just roll your windows down! 🙂
Or buy some sort of…entire…head condom…thing. 😃

damn… and i’m allergic to head condoms… will baby powder work? or will that make paster… which might be worse than sweat…

He raises a great point, and with my already aerodynamically handicapped altiama i’d be a sure shot for slowest place!

Like his car makes enough power to worry about aerodynamics. :E
Actually, if you’re hot and sweaty in the car, I would tend to think that being uncomfortable like that would increase your times more than the drag from a window being rolled down…remember, we’re not going for top speed after all, drag really shouldn’t be a factor.

Any motorcycle shop will sell snell, csa or dot approved helmets. Find out what your racing events require and urchase accordingly. There is a group buy on right on here, check that out.
