Okay, 2 things. Rear running lights / cluster light fuse blows non stop, just keeps blowing, i have recieved a $110 ticket for this, and i have no clue why this is happening. Also, pop ups wont go up or down, previous owner had sleepy eyes and i have no idea. Does anyone know what this could be or is willing to come try to help me, I will pay. Just i cant even drive at night time ,because of the rear running lights always not working… Let me know. ---

uh , TCU? correct me if wrong but why would he need a transmission control unit to solve a completely irrelevant problem ---

Jesse honestly a timing control unit is a 5 minute job. You remove your pass side kick panel. There’s a little white fuckin box. You unscrew that little bastard of a box (I believe one screw is holding it) and then you unplug it at the connector. Plug in new TCU and then reverse the order of the previous proccess. Takes all of about 5 minutes, if you want I’ll be in Oshawa this coming weekend swing by my girlfriends area and I’ll do it in a damn parking lot for you, just slip me $20 :lol:. ---

This OP has no respect for the help he is getting from the SON community. One of the things about owning a 240sx is learning to do things yourself. Even if someone offered you the part and the service to put it in I can so picture you saying you cant afford to pay anyways, just like the fuel pump job you wanted me to do for you in the past. Dont waste my time or christophers again please. ---

There is time being wasted because it’s not that hard of a job to do. Honestly man I’m fed up with it. Do I need to draw a diagram for you guys to find out where a TCU is. Here is a step by step guide. 1. Remove door trim that holds carpet into place (held on by 5 pop screws) 2. Remove passenger side kick panel (well USDM passenger, JDM drivers side, so basically the side you drive from Jesse) 3. In there you will see a little white box held on by 1 screw with a connector in front of the fuse box. 4. Remove the screw and connector tab and then it pops out 5. Place new TCU back into place and reverse these steps. 6. Go grab a beer cuz for once you actually worked on a s chassis. ---

fyi the TCU is on usdm DRIVERS side i dont know where it is on jdm cars but check both sides anyway you can’t miss it… like it’s already been explained, it’s a white box, attached to the side under one of the kick panels, with a rectangular plug on one end now, i dont know if the tcu will actually solve your shorting problem but try it anyway to rule it out [Next page](https://forums.speedlife.net/t/help-180sx/125687.md?page=2)
