# HELP. Adjustable coilovers

I got 3 of the 4 of the adjustable height parts off. I can not get for the life of me get the last one off. Is there anyplace I can take it that could get this friggen thing free??

i am having the same problem wit one of mine. if i member right i was told to be an man and bang the fuck out of it with a hammer…

Did that, bent the mounting tabs.
Also tried to cut up and old tire to put it in the vice and it still spins in the rubber

pound it every hour with PB blaster…then if you have a propane min-torch try to get it warm after you’ve hit it with PB a few times. while it’s hot try to get just the jam-nut clamped in the vise, and use a big plumber’s pipe wrench on the bottom mountwith a like a foot or two of pipe on it. If you can get someone to help, it would REALLY make it easier if you could have someone warming it with the torch while you have pressure on it to get it moving. once it’s moving just keep spraying PB at it until it’s easy to move and continue to apply heat a little at a time. If you’re burning up the powdercoat on it, you’ve gotten it too hot.

I think im going to try and soak mine in a bucket of atf. heard from a couple ppl it works. and im guna borrow some big ass pipe wrenches and see what happend

Heat and a big hammer tend to do the job.
