# help car starts and dies

hmmmm can you help me out . my car starts and dies. i had the spark plugs,distributor cap and rotor changed and wires also.i also had the altonator rebuilt. what could be the problem?

maf disconnected? Maybe you wiggled it loose?

I bet its a vacuum leak. If you hold down the gas will it stay running, if so you got a vacuum leak. Check all the vacuum hoses for crack, or if they are disconnected.

I would suggest taking a look around your EGR first and everything back there and trace your was back to the intake and charcoal canister.

i kinda have the same problem… only when the car is cold when i start it up it struggles hard… like idles around 600 shakes like a MOFO to.

yea when i step on the gas it’s fine. maybe i have one of the vacuum lines pulled out by my fan recently.but i probably can check the idle and maf

Won’t be MAF then.
