This might open a can of worms but… KAT or SR? Im in the midst of selling my current car and if sold I would have about 8,000 to play with. Im not aiming for some crazy… maybe around the high 12’s or flat 13’s. 300whp would be nice. So that being said and with a budget of 8G;s how would you build? Im not too familiar with either and rather new to the nissan world. Help fill in the blanks Chassis of choice would be S13/14 but before power more importantly… suspension and brakes. Suspension: brand/$? Brakes: Rim/tire: motor: turbo: injectors: Fuel pump: motor work if KA: IC: EMS: exhaust: remember try to keep it close or under 8Gs… ---

Suspension: Megan coilovers Brakes:R32/300zx brake system Rim/tire:ask blu2forty motor:sr20 turbo:? injectors:? Fuel pump: motor work if KA: IC:2.5 inch EMS:? exhaust:? I’m a toyota guy… soo i dont know to much good set ups for the s13/s14… im just goin off wht my buddies have in their rides. ---

8000$ wont get you a 240sx and 300hp realibly. ---

KA-T OK , this is what I got so far, Cometic head gasket $85.00us Arias piston $449.00 us, Arp 10mm headbolts $110.42us Arp main studs $108.66 us Arp rod bolts $75.00us Clevite main and Rod bearing $75.00us Prices are in us funds and shiping is extra from the sates IF you need more info pm me. ---

If going with a SR20 what is the limits? im not too fam of how much boost it will take before boom. say… sr20… bigger turbo… fmic… ems = ???hp before boom and before internals. ---

lol 8 grand can easily get u 300whp u can have it in a SR or a KA id probably go with getting a rebuild on the KA and boosting it. most of the SR’s now comming from japan have close to 200,000 kms. ---

LS1 or LS2 with good tires and launches should net you low 12s, high 11s stock… do it ---

how about a SR20DET from an S15 with 12 - 15 psi stock turbo. should get you 300WHP? thats my $0.02 ---
