Honestly with the high depreciation she could probably get a fully loaded 04 (Or hell even an 05 for just over 10k) just taurus for about 6-9k. Get’s around 25ish MPG with the duratec in the city. Under two years and 12k kinda otherwise limits it to small 4-door economy cars. And even then most the the imports are base model with no/low features at that price. ---

Used Corolla. Because they’re roomy, comfy, fairly quick, efficient, solid, reliable. But most importantly–they are SAFE. Every other car listed…plz. ---

2004 Alero or Grand Am with the 2.2L Ecotec. depreciation would set them to be around 8k right now they came with either 2 or 4 doors they are all FWD it’s a 4-banger. It will be excellent on gas. (my 2.4 gets about 350 thruway miles per 12 gallons. not the best, but it’s still pretty good. the 2.2L Ecotec is a newer engine and should be better on gas than the older 2.4L) ---
