# HELP ON LEAF SPRING SHACKLES!!!!!!

i need help, rear leaf spring shackles on a gmc jimmy, the bolt on the chackle to the leaf spring will not come out, the shackle to frame bolt is out, i need help!

the bolt is probably seized inside the leaf spring. you can try some penetrating oil, use at least half the can and let it sit for a few hours, or you might have to torch it and buy a new bolt.

put it together bring it to my house ill get out for u very cheap

thanks but i finnally got it out. the bushing was basically hugging it. i had to press it out with a hydralic c clamp.

hopefully youre putting in new bushings. either way make sure you grease them up VERY well so itll be easier getting them out next time.
