on the rear suspension of a S13 how do you take the hat off of the rear strut. i tryed vice grips but its not working and i’m afraid i will strip it. anyone who has disasebmled a 240sx rear suspension b4 nows what i’m talkin about. help anyone??? call me cuz if i don’t get this together tonite i’m screwed… 916-4852 ---

which hat are you talking about? Are you putting in new springs??? ---

yea but its all good . i took it to my work and they got it off i seconds with an air gun. yea tein s-tech make it feel sooo much nice. thanx nis240 for talkin me into getting springs. (when i got the fan clutch). nissan sells the toot to get the hat of the shock off but its 89.99 and not worth it in my opinion. ---

I just used vice grips, and then when it spun when you tried to undo the nut, let it rest on one of the 2 bolts sticking up, it stays there, and you can undo the nut with a rachet. ---
