# HELP~!!!!!! STEERING COLUMN...

Hey. I am in a big rush. I am trying to leave for the weekend and my car is almost put back together. The only thing is the steering column wont go back in properly. Any tricks or advice? I have the end of the steering column hooked up to the axle. BUT, it seems like the column won’t go back in far enough to line up with the brackets. I also can’t get the ignition off. I do not have a key for the ignition either. Any suggestions? I need this done before friday. Thanks alot… -Ryan

still having problems??

The ignition on those cars need to be chipped out with a blade screw driver or a lil chzzle then when throwing it back in just use bolts. On the steering shaft in the engine bay there is a bolt that you can loosen so it can slide in further then you can bult it all up in the car and then tighten the bolt in the engine bay. Ｉｔｓ ｐｒｅｔｔｙ easy. Hope that helps.
