# Help with blazer

ive got a 1998 blazer and the 4 wheel drive wont engage when i press the button to lock it in it makes a loud grinding noise and doesnt lock. im thinking it may be something in the front axle but im not sure.

Anyone got thoughts about what it could be??

Yup… sounds like the Encoder motor… 15 minutes, $150 part.
