# help with z32

well my z has started up but today we started it up and it started and idled for a bit then it just stopped, and my dad heard the fuel pump pumping…what could the symptom be? a flood? (also the car has not been started for over a year we have succesfully started it up twice and 1 just turn over…)

clogged fuel filter maybe? how did the idle sound good?

the idleing sounded like up n down for a bit then it sounded dyeing…its odd cuz 2 days ago when i fired it up for hte second time it ran fine

also the car has been sitting for a year i have done nothing and plan to do fuel filter, oil change, trans oil change, brake fluid, rear dif fluid and spark plugs…n could the gas be stale effect the start up and could a weak battery effect it as well?

Bad gas, could be a problem. But the rest of your list shouldn’t affect it sitting idling.

dam cuz it has liek 3/4 tnak full of gas lol should i just mix in some fresh gas?

Drain/syphon it and put new gas in. It’s probably full of water.

hmmm also ya we foudn out the timing is off… fixed that (non proper way) but ran better =) except that 1st cylinder is on and off…
