This has to be hands down the most impressive show of respect and support ive ever seen. Ive posted this to just about every place im a member… Killed in action the week before, the body of Staff Sergeant John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009. The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia. A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time. People lined the route for miles to pay tribute to one of our fallen. link to video blog entry of a recording of the procession. Well it is not good at all that someone had to die to see that there are that many Americans who still care but it is a great showing of respect. A few years ago I had to do funeral detail for a few active duty deaths and they had HUGE turnouts. Just this past weekend I carried the US flag in a 4th of July parade and there was standing ovations as we walked past. ---

Whether we agree or disagree with the what war we are at, we cannot let the dedication and commitment these young men give to our country go unnoticed and in vain. They give their lives for us, the least we can do is support them :tup: to our troops RIP to the fallen ---

Almost brought a tear to my eye at the very end… My girlfriends uncle was laid to rest Monday and received a military burial for time he served some odd years back. It really is a thing to see… ---

thats awesome to see. this is a video from a spectator. there are a TON of cop cars, motorcycles and even a helicopter for him, edit: posted up on [pirate4x4.com](http://pirate4x4.com) since i didn’t see it on there… those redneck boys will like to see this kind of showing! ---

Being almost minty fresh out of basic has given me quite a new perspective on it and the effort that many a person puts into our defending our country. The outpouring of support is simply incredible, but it’s a terrible shame to see another one fall. ---

Burying a defender of this country is always a sad sad day. One that I have experianced too much, but takes everything I have not to totally break down. Once you see these heros in action, up front and personal. You realize just how much of their soul they give for the fight. Its a shame that the fight they are in, is trivialized by talking points and politics. I hope he rests in peace… ---

Tell ya what that screen got pretty fuzzy and my “allergies” were acting up a few times during that video… either that or someone was cutting a rather large onion right next to me. As a soldier leaving for Afghanistan in a few months seeing this kind of stuff makes me realize that the American public still does respect what we do and understands that freedom isn’t free. ---

Had a tear in my eye before I even clicked on the link as I knew what it was going to be.To this day still can’t listen to those songs or The 8th of november with having tears start to form.Hell if I Start signing it,it’s all over.I say a prayer everynight before I go to sleep(if I don’t fall asleep first) and EVERY time I mention our troops and their families. That’s very touching. They did something similar in Canada almost every time a soldier was brought back to be laid to rest. They would drive down the 401 and people would be on the side and on overpasses for miles and miles. They started calling it the Highway of Heroes. So good to see such support. :tup:
