# Hey computer people

My computer keeps freezing up. Any suggestions, ran anti virus and that didn’t help it.
It’s an older machine but still is fast enough for what I use it for.
Here are some specs if it matters, Athlon 1800+, 512 pc 2100, ati radeon 9600 vid card.
I am thinking the powersupply might be to blame, but I need some suggestions on what most likely is causing this.
I know new machines are cheap but I don’t really want to be wasteful and get a new machine when I don’t have to.

when does it reboot? power issues aren’t usually the case unless system settings are being wiped…
if it’s after a while on frist boot thne progressively quicker, i’d check the fan to see an overheating issue.
no system errors on the reboot? no prompts?
check event logs?
