> well Alex actually has 2 chop saws, the dewalt dry cut and the rigid abrasive. and as far as the dewalt goes (cant speak about other dry cuts) the dewalt is louder, leaves just as much burr to clean up, rips teh shit out of stainless 16 gauge and cost 2 1/2 times more money. and it chucked its first tooth on the 3rd or 4th cut i ever made with it.

Rofl, that’s pretty shitty for a dry cut.

Is he using wood blades missing half their teeth or something?
But if he’s cutting Stainless with a standard carbon steel blade I would expect less than great performance.
They make stainless blades for a reason after all 😑
Also you let the blade cut the material, you don’t apply much downward pressure like an abrasive saw.
I know with 20" Blades sometimes I’d end hanging from the handle to keep pressure on it when cutting through a lot of material…

A quick search of the dewalt dry cut saws turns up terrible reviews, plus it costs $500, versus ~$250 for an evolution with a blade… Evolution saws get amazing reviews from everywhere.
the guys at [Weldingweb.com](http://Weldingweb.com) go crazy over evolution saws in production environments as well.

I’ve had and used a HF HD 14" chop saw for 5yrs now… Its starting to show signs of wear and inaccuracy. But it use to cut pretty well. I wish that i would have sent the $ on a better one, one with a cast table/base. The stamped steel one on the HF one flexes and is now out of shape ☹ Overall not bad still works and i’ve used 3 disc’s.
