Hicas has a fluid float in the PS resevoir, when it goes down the light goes on… start there.

My HICAS used to take 10-15 minutes in the winter for the light to go off

My hicas light doesn’t even come on, does that mean my hicas is disabled?

The only time the light comes on is when there’s something wrong.

no that wasn’t the problem, it was a symptom… any car should not leak PS fluid…

Sometimes the level is low, but there’s no leak, like sometimes I’d attempt to drift in parking lots and the light would come on because the fluid gets moved around, but if you turn off the car, let it sit for a few minutes and start it again, the level will be back to normal.
