# HID Questions

I plan on getting HID’s for the integra. I’ve deciced just to go with a plug and play setup for the time being. If I feel the need to retrofit, then I will do it then, but I’ll try the plug and play setup first, simply because its cheaper and not a PITA.
So, onto the real question. What brands should I be looking into? What kind do you have? What are the -/+ of that brand?
If you have some pictures of your setup, that would be great. Also state if you retrofitted, or just used plug and play.

lol yes…^^
remember you cant just buy HID lights you need the control module for them so that they actually work, IF they are real HID xenon lights. Back in the day people use to just rip them out of maximas and call it a day. Real HID setups are expensive. but good luck

what intensity HID bulbs give off what colors? I’ve seen bright white, yellow(amber), blueish and purple looking lights
what are some decent brands that arent too expensive but dont suck?
any info would be appreciated (im looking to go the plug and play route, no retrofitting for me)

Oh I know I can’t just take the capsules :lol:
Just debating weither to retrofit or just get a plug and play setup (using the stock projectors)

The higher the K number the more bluish purple the light gets. Also the higher you go the greater the drop in visibility or usable light.
Something in the 5000k range provides nice white for improved visibility. The higher you go the more showy the light becomes.

Right, 4100 or 4300 is the stock temp., and produces the most light, and the whitest.

If you’re just retrofitting, i’d go with Xenondepot, if you want to go all out buy Hella’s from [RallyLights.com](http://RallyLights.com) but that WILL get expensive. In terms of light output, I wouldnt stray outside of 4000-6000k. I’m running 5300k high and lows on the 951.
