# Highlights of 2008

As 2008 comes to an end, post some of your highlights or fond memories of 2008. I realize some of mine are corny and weird but these are the things I remember most:
- Heath Ledger’s death :hs:
- New computer (1.4ghz Athlon -\> C2Q) 🆒
- T3 SR setup @ 18psi (building, driving, tuning) :bowdown:
- First time weekend psuedo-camping (trailering) turned out to be a horrible experience :ugh:
- Birth of my niece :love:
- Getting laid off (after almost 4yrs) 😢
- Bouncing back and getting an even better job :wiggle:
- (Finally) buying a daily driver - 2001 Sentra
- US Presidential election - nothing had me more captivated than this
So what’s to come in 2009? Hopefully more success in life and finances. Looking forward to good times ahead.

-Meeting my gf early on in the year, which has changed my life drasticaly.
-Winning the CSCS Drifting Championship
-Hiking the West Coast Trail in BC with my gf(75km in 5 days… with everything on our backs)
Very much looking forward to `09

- getting apple certified and another pay rise.
- having spent a lot more time with family than i have in previous years.

**Year of 2008**
- Going to Calgary for the first time to see my girl!
- My best friend had her baby boy
- Getting my first aid
- Not getting any HTA tickets
- Piloting the Cessena 172
- Working track staff at DMCC
- Bing’s Meet (my first one)
- Meeting a bunch of kool 240 owners
- Another year of life!
**Year of 2009**
- Be boosted in time for bings meet
- Finally get my pilots licences (no more slacking on this been 3 years over due)
- Finish College
- Attend more track days for GRIP!!!
- No HTA tickets
- Pay somebody here $10 so i can see the moved stuff GEEZZZ!
- Completed the Black-Bird

-being a dad for the 3rd year
-starting GBtires
-finally having a taste of turbo
-being able to tandem with the 3 top Ontario DMCC drifters AND keep up! _GBtires Drift Day in September_
-selling the s14 and leaving the drift scene for an undetermined amount of time (I will definitely get back into it bigger and badder)

- first year as a father
- big promotion at work
- got the COO’s old office
- Flew to BC, Alberta, Halifax, Montreal for work
- bought a SR Kouki S14
- moved into new house
- $9k driveway
- Major financial investment into my businesses
- Half dozen new products from bings.ca
- SEMA / NACE
- Engine fire at Dunnville
- Crash at CSCS
- Bing meet of course
- Onyx Syndicate holds 10+ track days
- Watkins Glen Grand Prix
- TNC acquisition
- Spent tens of thousands of dollars on car shit again, CCW’s, New SR, other random shit—
2009…
- Planning on taking my son to Europe
- Renting race car and ripping the Nurburgring
- Another big raise and big moves in the office
- New partnerships with DMCC drivers
- New products from Bings.ca
- Race like hell in the S13
- Turn the S14 into a ill daily driver

2008 has been huge for me, and i’d like to thank everyone currently involved with my year.
- Bought my first 240.
- Joined the scene
- Advanced in my Sales job at Best Buy
- Did my ghetto Two-Tone paint job
- Became very good friends, with quite the true group of guys
- Attended my FIRST track day, privately with S1DC @ Dunnville
- Became obsessed with drifting
- Attended many other track days there after
- Decided to go KA-T
- Did that ^^
- Hydro locked the dual cam
- Got a job with PAS Mag
- Went through a KA swap
- Bought a GTS-T clip, and swapped in the RB20
- Had, and are still having some Party-Hardy partying parties lol
- Quit Best Buy
Hopefully, all stays well, friends stay true, our goal’s live, we live our goals, and we succeed in life.

Highlights of 08
-On jan 1st, woke up with the biggest hangover EVER
-Worked at Nissan for a co-op placement, then was hired over the summer
-Saw the GT-R when it first came to Ontario with the (made in japan) tags still on it
-Death of Bernie Mac
-Got a bj from my little sisters babysitter (shes like 25, and actually pretty hot)
-Learned how to drive manual
-Got high (first time ftw)
-Bought my first WORKING s13
- Went drifting for the first time
-and lastly I finished highschool
-Failed my last years resolution, didint get laid LOL
For 2009, I can’t hope for things to happen. I just plan on working hard, and focusing on what is important. Also making time for everything and everyone important to me.
Actually… I look forward to attending Bings meet next year(hopefully).
… and getting laid LOL

Highlights of 08
-Grandpa passed away recently ☹
-I finished my stage 1 rebuild of my car it kicks ass, but then i had a minor 5km/hr curbing in the parking lot lmao
-I worked my butt off whole year, tomorrow is my last day and I’m starting a new job which is better God willing yay
-Finished my certifications
-Bought yet another car
-Overall good year no complaints.

Highlights of 2008:
- My 240 project is pretty much done
- MTD did pretty well (Met a lot of good people)
- Got my Co-op placement at HP
- Learned to skate for the first time in my life
- Played Ice Hockey for the first time
- First time going to a Leafs game
- First time going to a Team Canada game
- Bought myself an EG Civic
- Meeting my GF
- Having people from SON come over to my house to fight me

- got to bring my S13 to the track
- first year driving rwd car on the track
- won 2nd place at cscs’s time attack in street rwd class
- met my gf
- moved out to a very nice condo
- got a very nice yorkie
- work hasnt been that good, but im still standing
hope 2009 will be a crazy year for me, make more money, spend more time with my gf, have my S13 go fast, tune faster, hoping to get 300hp

-barack obama winning the presidency
- went to my homeland to see my mom
- got a promotion
-got a raise
-GF spoiled me with a xbox and ps3
-got a bonus from work
- actually saved money and currently debt free…

- bings meet (was awesome)
- started building my car
- me and my GF 6 year anni
- moved up in my apprenticeship
- next year should be better need to pick up a new DD in 09

-completed the collision repairs and repainted my s14
- did bodywork on a few killer cars
- Finally got the job ive been waitng for. (high-end car restoration)
- Moved in with my GF into a Stellar place
- GF and I 5yrs
- GF Graduated and is now a Full time RMT
- I will be Graduated in 2 months!
- Best friends Baby was born.
- the list goes on…

2008
- Working in Europe!
- Traveled to just about every major city in Europe.
- Making good $$$
- Having a good time in Europe.
- Driving some awesome cars out here.
- Getting laid a lot!
- Bought two land turtles! (Turbo and NOS)
2009
- Come home
- Have my house (in Etobicoke) fully paid off by end of year with the money Im making here.
- Do some more modifications to my 240sx.
- Buy my mom an E class Mercedes Benz.
- Buy a stretch limo and become partners with my friend Rob who owns a stretch limousine company. (“A” Celebrity Limousines).
- Quit smoking.
- Lose more weight
- Meet the right girl that I can finaly settle down with, get married and make babies! (get married and make babies will not be in 2009 lol).
- Get a speeding ticket! (It’s the only thing on this list that is guaranteed to happen lol).

lol i have a gut feeling you will get a speeding ticket when you come back to canada, it’s just unavoidable. That’s how I got mine after being abroad lmao… you just get too used to speed haha…

1995 s14 swap parts from rip white car LE conversion
-5lug swap
-5speed swap /diff
-brake swap
-full suspension swap
-full black interior swap
-power folding mirrors
-sound system swap
~brought it to track 4 times. ka power was a blast. got better at drifting. blew front hubs nov 01 2008
bought a **MINT** s13 october 2008
-5lug swap
-change rear swaybar
-added sound system
-put stock rear interior back in and s14 cloth fronts
-krown oil spray/ diy black spray/ rust module installed.
~ shoes
bought 17 pair of shoes from begining of this year upto boxing day.
