this election is not going to be such an easy win for the dems. the primaries will show this as the dems certainly do not have a popular favorite. all the dems have things going against them, including each other. hillary has done nothing for NY. nothing but complain… this is the truth and will stop her before her gender does. edwards supports gay marriage- this wont get past the bible belt. obama has 2 years experience. the next is boring and totally uncharismatic just like kerry in 04. id vote for dean. that guy was a darkhorse in 04, took his shots and was mocked publicly all over the place- yet still stood his ground
so why might the rebs win? rudy. no one remembers how corrupt and what kind of piece of shit he was before 911. no one cares about his stripper / family problems of recent time. people in NY or northern blue states may, but the imbeciles in the south and midwest BELIEVE RUDY SAVED NY DURING 911. they associate him with everything positive… hell his picture is hanging up in every diner on ever street of every town throughout most of red america… and even in places like ohio and PA. its a scary thought. whats even scarier is that he is roman catholic

i learned that.
it doesnt matter anyways, our civilization will crumble soon, just like all other great empires have in the past. you know why? because america displays the main characteristic of all those other failed civilizations:
the denial of science/technology. the muslims were much further advanced than the rest of the world till the crusades annihilated their culture and set their technology/science far behind. they couldnt recover and as a result… look at the types of society in that part of the world. the dark ages showed a collapse of government and society as religion took precedence and education was excluded. the same is happening in america, as religious fanatics are starting to deny the progression of science. no abortion. no stem cell research, the rich haulting the progression of alternative energy… etc. it’s just a matter of time

While I agree with your statements about America crumbling eventfully, I think that saying it is because of religion is bit extreme. If anything it is because of political correctness and the whole “do what feels good” attitude that so many Americans portray. People are too afraid to hurt someone’s feelings to do what needs to be done or say what needs to be said. In every major society, they got to a point where they got lazy, and just did what they wanted, shortly after, they fell. Look at the Greeks and the romans. People no longer have any work ethic. They expect everything to be handed to them because of their ethnicity or family situations, when 60 years ago, they just worked harder for it. That is how today’s youth is. Mommy and Daddy pay for everything their entire lives and they do not have to lift a finger. They expect things to be given to them throughout their lives and not working hard to earn what they have. THAT is why this country will crumble. Not because of a lack of “science”. Besides, people put way too much faith in science. Science is nothing more than a guess to explain what can not be understood in an attempt to put things into prospective. It is an ever changing study, and always will be. Religious people are not against science, they are against certain practices and teachings of it. There are no absolutes in the scientific realm. Anybody who actually understands science knows this. What we call scientific “facts” are being proven false on a daily basis and are being replaced by new theories. Yes some scientific aspects and views are pretty damn correct…but so many are not and people just blindly believe them because a white coat says they are true. You have to be able to judge the bullshit agenda led science from the actual science that has proper un bias testing and results. Otherwise you are just believing whatever people tell you because you would rather believe what they say than try to think for yourself. But hell what do I know…I am just some uneducated redneck right.

everyone who says that she’s “useless,” shes a fucking freshman senator. One of 100, who was in the minority party until 2 weeks ago. Name one freshman senator that has done more. What do you want? Pork barrel spending/fradulent use of federal funds? Like the bridge to nowhere in Alaska? She has major influence on some of the biggest committees there are now, and people think because of the dynasty she was associated with she can just ignore the other 99 senators and start “doing more for us”. I expect more of her this term, because she actually has more power. The last 6 years, she hasnt really had that much.

Additionally, The US became what it was from slavery, and VAST VAST natural resources, Excellent Shipping channels (great lakes, erie canal, blah blah blah), and an integrated Rail system… We’re just riding that wave.
Lots to do with the US’s decline is Unions too. I agree with them for the fact that they allow the wealth in the company to be spread out through the employees with higher wages. The workers are actually the problem, my mother works at the Ford plant, and the stories she tells me of her people, just being total asses. People Skipping out of work after punching in, the constant, “Well thats not my job”, and stupid shit like, well i hit my quota, I’ll just relax for the day. Its bullshit, there is no company loyalty. they are all out for themselves. Yes there are some good passionate workers, and they are keeping the major industries of the US afloat.
Another problem with the US is education, k-5 (#1 in the world), 5-12, lacking, no set plans after high school, like Germany where they start you early off, i think 8th grade you start becoming more specific. Kids not giving a fuck in school skipping, and other shit… NOT PASSING STANDARDIZED TESTS!! How fucking hard can the tests be… I put forth very little effort and SKATED through high school. Maybe some of the students aren’t as intelligent, little studying can go a long long way…
Back onto Hilary, JEG, how about you get your head out of your ass, and use some real evidence instead of retarded, OMG SHE IS SUCH A BITCH, who cares if she slumps down. Here personal appearance is a perception, and has next to nothing to do with her ability to run this country. I think she is a very confident, and strong woman, a great image for president. She already has seen what her husband has gone through for 8 years, that kind of experience for an incoming president… AMAZING. she’d be the only person with that kind of experience, with intimate insider info (obviously the vice won’t hear some of the juicy shit, unless the pres and him are fucking).

For now I’m planning on voting for not-Bush. I’m working on narrowing it down from there…
