# Honda guys- need brake help with a 99 civic ex

my friend has a 4 door 99 civic ex. he attempted to do his pads and rotors by himself and ended up striping out the threads for the big bolt on the caliper carrier. we went to the junk yard and pulled a carrier off of a 98 civic dx, but they werent the same part.
can i only use a carrier from an ex? if so what years are compatible? thanks

yea i believe youll need another one from an ex. ex have bigger brakes than the dx, hx, cx, etc, i found that out the hard way.

because he’s fucking retarded. he watched me do the pass side a few days before, then i had to go to work so i couldnt finish the drivers side. he attempted to do it and this happened. plus when we went to to the junkyard to pull a new one off some fucking scumbag stole my entire tool kit.
fucking bullshit. why do i even try to help this kid anymore
