I think having two accidents on record would scare away a lot of potential buyers.

If it was a clean S2000 I’d say go for it. Having had the accidents, and being repaired in a way that we can tell from those terrible pictures, you may end up having just as hard of a time selling this. If you’re going to be stuck with something it might as well be awesome.

Yea, now that I know it has 2 accidents on record, I retract my original response…not to say you could not get 14 out of it still, esp. with the spare parts, but it will be harder now…

Having accident would drop the price some but I dont think youd have a hard time selling this. There are a decent amount of people on the forums that dont care about high miles or title concerns because they plan on building and boosting the car.

It is crazy how many have come into the area though, that I must add. When I picked mine up 5 summers ago I was lucky to come across one driving once a month. I seem to pass them daily or a couple a week.

The people looking to do that are looking for cars like this (accidents, title issue etc) because they want one cheap.
I still have to think a pretty clean S2K with a 2 accident title appeals to more people than a greenish/yellow 1987 BMW with skyline power. That BMW is awesome but appeals to a really small segment of the car buying public, especially the way Newman made it his own.

Couldn’t agree more. That bmw is nothing short of awesomeness but the market is soo much smaller. Take the offer and go with it while it’s still there and you’ll come out better in the end.

The paint doesn’t look right to me but I’m colorblind partially… I’d inspect the car in person before making any decisions.

I know the early year S2000 have some common issues. Before going to look at it I would do some research on the weak points of the car. I think the transmissions are a weak point and the rear end. I could be wrong tho…

no, it definitely looks like there was paintwork done on the left side and its lacking a blend between the fender and door. the fender is either a lighter silver or the metallic is off.

I have a 2000, I’ve replaced the Clutch master and that’s all. I’m almost to 100k miles and it’s been incredibly reliable.
