I think you need to sell off all the lips, exhausts, intakes, and invest in a set of R-Compounds on some shit wheels. Take it to every autocross event this summer and enjoy what it’s really meant for. Trust me, give it a try. ---

Although I’d take the car stock and then see what needs to be changed from there. ---

I’m glad everyone is enjoying my build thread, opinions are like assholes, no one likes them. Just because you guys tell me what I should do and what I shouldn’t doesn’t mean ill listen, I’m building this car for my pleasure not yours. Idc if you think it’s fast or not or the shittest k series engine. All that matters is that I like it. ---

I don’t think it really has anything to do with a fast car or anyone being “mean” to you and degrading you by any means. It has more to do with these people trying to save you time and a headache. It’s all good and well if it makes you happy, but you should really know that by posting it here, you are just asking for criticism. Don’t be upset when you do get it. ---

Let’s just put this into perspective. you have 4 pgs here and all you’ve done was bolt an off-brand replica lip and off-brand replica Chinese exhaust system on a honda civic…hardly a “build”… you can’t create a build thread where you use a hodge-podge of low-quality parts and bolt them on a sporty-ish econo-car and expect praise and happy things from a forum that is essentially TRUE enthusiasts who as a whole generally use quality parts and build cars towards purposes. If this was on some shitty national honda forum, all the kids who’s parents gave them their clapped out 150k mile civic who also bolted on ebay exhausts would tell you how siq your “build” is. For this purpose, I think NYspeed could benefit from a “showroom” section like a lot of other automotive forums have…the showroom is a place to post pics of your car with subtle changes and just generally show off your ride…the builds section should be used for exactly what it sounds like…full blown purpose-build machines full of high-quality parts and fabrication…I.E. naab’s mustang racecar build, newmans E30 build, various custom bike builds, etc. if this was a “Honda4life’s SCCA EP3 Build” thread, with name brand, quality, adjustable suspension components were being installed, that would be a whole 'nother ballgame dude. Don’t confuse this post with hate, I rather like the EP3’s…and yours seems like a nice car…but this certainly isn’t a build, it’s a bunch of pictures and discussion over some BS ebay parts. ---

I’d like to add, that there are some people on here that can’t even change their fucking oil… Or flush the radiator… Pretty sad, atleast I’m putting parts on myself, and not paying up the ass from local shops… Granted Steve is helping me, but who cares. Another thing, half of these pages is bs shit from people adding in opinions that don’t matter. I’ve put 4 fucking parts on the car 2 of which were eBay and 2 which were not and name brand. Who cares… I’m working with what I have, I’m not going to go out and buy, fucking mandrel bent pipe for a exhaust and a fucking welder… ---

Just putting this out there…I’m sure there are plenty of people on the forum that has installed a eBay or questionable items on there car before! What difference dose it make if he put this on instead of that? At the end of the day who’s car is it? Your’s, or the Op’s? Hes working with what he has. Yes the part may not be up you “YOUR” standerds…but its not your car! I helped Evan put his exhaust on the welds I would rate 8 out of 10. Not every item you buy off eBay is shity quality I understand some people here would like to see this done the “right way” but as I stated before its not your car! Annnndddddd…your mom! ---

I had an Ebay exhaust on my S2k and a replica header. I didnt tell anyone until I they said “oohh dude your exhaust sounds sick. What kind bro” and they were all amazed when I said ebay. However the catback was very easy to dent and crack. Gary had to weld a 1/4" plate on there lol. The header also rusted out and was super hard to sell because of it after 3000 miles. I had Megan coilovers and still do and I think they are great. All the jackasses cry if you dont buy kw v3’s . Some people will hate with no experience and some are trying to help you ---
