HP numbers do not mean anything. _Seriously_

I keep an open mind about cars. I gave Shawn a hard time earlier in this thread because it was funny to see his reactions. 3000gt’s are sexy cars and were extremely advanced for their time. I choose to mod Honda’s/Acura’s because its cheap and I’m on a budget. They are good looking cars that can be easily modified to go from “econobox” to relatively fast. No car sucks because there is always someone out there that loves it and will do something impressive with it. To bash other peoples’ cars is just plain ignorant. Even the car I dislike the most… the MUSTANG… has a ton of well-built examples to prove its worth. If someone wants to spend their money on something that they are passionate about you can’t say shit to them about that.

In Regards to Shawn96VR-4 & EJ257FTW,
this is (although it may not seem it) all i was trying to say…don’t tell someone they are wrong cause they like a certain thing. i had touge’s back cause he is my friend not cause he is my roomate, and because you were treating him like a piece of shit who knows nothing. he does know quite a bit. as i am sure you do too…and i do agree that this thread got way blown out of proportion. so i want to appologize for acting like a fuckin the retard i so greatly despise. the 3k is a nice car, and the STI is one of the sweetest cars produced today (well except for the new gen. but thats my opinion) so lets just end this thing and move on like adults…and please pardon my post…i was a little pissed off…

i actually do like 3k’s i like all japanese cars i was just defending what i know the most. its all just a thread in internet land as you stated. i dont even know who you are or what you look like and to be so rude to you was mean. i just let my anger and frustration get the best of me. im not going to let what anyone said depict who any of you are as people. because frankly i dont know you. i couldnt pick you out of a crowd if i tried. so i apologize…there i said it :🙂

Okay, I registered just for this thread. I apologize in advance if I missed anything or if I’m slightly off-topic with what I’m going to say… but are people seriously comparing a car thats $45000, has 6 cylinders, AWD and turbo to… vehicles equipped with a K20?
Let me start off by saying… that is one of the most retarded comparisons I’ve ever heard of. They’re vehicles of entirely different class.
320HP, 315trq… that runs 14 flat in the 1/4th stock (_listed from Edmunds_). 4000lbs w/ driver… effin TANK.
How can that be compared to any Civic or RSX?
If we wanna’ make a debate thats anything remotely close to fair… why not use the S2K?
237HP, 162trq… that runs a 14.1 in the 1/4th stock (car and driver). 2840 for the weight… and close to 50/50 weight distribution.
…and still gets better gas mileage
Now THAT is a lot more fair of a comparison… but how fair of a comparison considering the fact the 3000gt has almost 100hp more and nearly twice the torque.
Base price of the S2000… 34,000.
For 11,000 more dollars I’d clearly choose a VR4 that runs 1/10th of a second faster in the 1/4th, get shittier gas mileage, and would never even compare to an S2000 in handling. 😉 Well worth the money I’d say.
But I am NOT going to lie… comparing just about any other Honda to a VR4 is idiotic.

FUCK YOU ALL… :headbang

they are not comparing the cars, but comparing the motors that came with them. Still stupid, yes, but not what you are saying. Hondalover started that argument by saying K20 \> 6G72. No one else was continuing that argurment, but rather just asking him for some justification of that statement… which we never got any (HP/L does not count)

The motors were compared by hondalover. Also 14.X is not correct for the 3S. More like 13.4-13.7s.
