# Hood shaking at speed

So I took a test drive in the S14.5 I’m gonna buy and decided to see what it’s like on the highway. It is a great highway cruiser, but is it normal for the hood to shake so much past 140km/hr? It seemed almost like there wasn’t enough bracing on the hood.

did you check to see if the rubber stoppers were there?

I had the same problem with my 95. If the rubber stoppers are there, you can adjust their height by turning them counter clockwise. Check for level on either side and your set.

I didn’t check for the stoppers. I’ll do that when I pick up the car. Thanks!

Would the shake stop after adjusting the stoppers? I figured that the shaking was caused by too much air pressure under the hood when you are going at higher speeds.

You can adjust the height of the latch too. Loosen up the screws and lower it a bit. That should keep things nice and snug.
