# Horrible Hood Fitment...

So, i got my CF hood in today, and put it on…
HORRIBLE fitment… The latch didnt line up at all, the thing is warped, different on one side to the other, has stupidly huge gaps everywhere, the edges are extremely poorly finished, one bolt is threaded hardcore crooked, the driver side portion nails my bumper, i had to force my bumper in to make the hood latch.
I took it off, and im going to email them these pics and call them tomorow, what can i do?
Hood pins wont help, even if you pushed it down on the driver side so there is slightly less than the 3" gap, it would be bowed up badly in the middle on each side, the cuts are rough, and the latch wont line up for \*\*\*\*…

properly align it with shims as any body shop would?

Hard to align a warped hood… it bows out midway, evem if all the edges somehow ligned up, it would be a 1/2 to a 1" above my fender in the middle. And on one side, i had to shove my bumper in hardcore to get it to semi-latch. The hood wont sit flat on level ground…

I fully understood that when you pay $300 for a cf hood it isnt going to be anything special, but what the hell… this is HORRIBLE…
Im sure i can get the money back, thats not my concern.
Im not looking for people to tell me your a fucking retard for buying a cheap hood, i dont care… Im looking for someone who might know if its fixible, if its common, or if i just need to send it back…

if you have flush fitment at the cowl and at the front grille/headlights, i don’t think that can be fixed unless you mounted hoodpins further away from the front bumper

In this case, obviously, but theres at least 5 people i know of on [v6p.net](http://v6p.net) that bought the cheapest hood they could find and it fit nearly perfect on their 6th gen accords…

man that sucks… what you guys also gotta realise tho with the “you get what you pay for” comments, thats a $500 hood any day of the week for the past what, 2 yrs? if you bought that say a week BEFORE the sale, at full boat, wouldn’t you be pissed?
hope they do somthign for ya, altho i can see them saying all sales were final yada yada ☹
