Has anyone tried the method of using hose clamps to stiffen up rubber exhaust mounts?

I’m told this works pretty well to reduce play of stock rubber hangers when running a larger diameter cat back system.

Does it work? or should I stop being a cheap ass and buy some poly hangers?

Actually, its kind of a neat idea. I’m sure it’ll work alright and do the job.
