# How can they advertise scams?

Always was curious about this, but I always hear these on the radios and have wondered how can you legally advertise services like this with any real disclaimer. For instance:
-Paid secret shopping jobs
-Free laptops, and other spiffy gadgets.
-Anything else promising money for the most part
Anyone care to chime in as how they can do this?

its not a scam just a raw deal you have to jump though hoops to get, it falls under the same thing as lottery, some people will get money others will loose it

my gf asked the same question and the reason is cuz 90% of these are pyramid deals where you have to sign up 5 people who sign up 5 people and if their 5 people sign up 5 people, then you get a gameboy.

Also those paid secret shoppers, are real. We used to get em all the time when I was the grill manager at a restaurant. Secret shoppers, they would come in and eat, and then a week later youd get your “review”… basically the same thing as a QA Devin

yea one time we had an 85 yr old lady as a secret shopper when i worked at Guess? .

how does the secret shopper thing work though? Do they reimburse your purchases or something?

Indeed, I know secret shoppers exist. But the form of the advertisment makes it fall under too good to be true category. Something just seems super shady about the way it’s advertised.

apparently we had a secret shopper at my work…my boss yelled at me becausethey said i didnt spend enough time with them. kinda hard when its the holliday season and i get stuck working by myself and theres 12 people in line. im not gonna spend 20 minutes with ever customer sorry.
