how can you tell whether a car mileage is correct? I just purchased a Ford Explorer 2003 from a reputable dealership. The car had 30k miles on it, the tires were not the original…they are Cooper tires …this threw up a flag but…any way to tell if the mileage has been tampered with? I know the odometer could be correct by a tool called [DP3 Digiprog3 Odometer Correction Tool](http://www.xcardiag.com/wholesale/dp3-digipro3-odometer-correction-tool.html), If i shoot you the vin, can you autocheck it for me?

honestly, go out to the country and count the telephone poles. i believe 8 is a mile. then if you passed however many in your [nissan](http://www.lsnissan.com/)and the odometer turns, you know its on
