AIG has another 340K party. :hang: AIG executives may not be making better business decisions while they’re asking the federal government for more money, but at least they’re getting sneakier! An ABC News investigation has revealed that a conference last week at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort in Phoenix was another chance for AIG executives to frolic (on the taxpayers’ dime). The conference was called the Asset Management Conference, and hotel personnel were ordered to not mention AIG either verbally or on signage. An AIG spokesperson told ABC News that there was no AIG signage because they wanted to lower the company’s profile. As consumers, I think we’re a little too smart to believe that. Something tells me that the company executives knew they’d get heat for another luxury trip. There were 150 independent financial planners present at the conference, in addition to several top AIG executives. Yet hidden cameras caught top executives not attending sessions, and also captured images of limousines, fancy cocktail parties, and expensive dinners out. ---

I was watching this on CNN yesterday and had to laugh at how low the journalistic standards are in this country. After two harpies who sounded like they were interviewing for The View got done ripping on AIG for about 10 minutes they closed with one sentence that said something like, “this event was almost entirely paid for by the sponsors, not AIG”. Wait… WAT? What was that last part you hoped no one would hear because if they did they would realize there was no story here? But it would be nice to see some unbiased reporting out of our big networks. I guess they need someone new to spread their biased reporting toward now that McCain lost. ---

well their thoughts are that they need to impress their customers with these big parties or else they wont hop on and give them their business. ---

The bailout I want to see is when they stop using the top down approach and benefiting the executives and start helping the individuals inturn which help the businesses. ---
