I know this seems really stupid. I have a situation where I am needing to record a video of a video. The situation is that the video is a 1 time deal and I may need to step away from the computer for a few hours during the course of it. I want to be able to go back and watch it later. I promise I won’t be abusing this and posting it for free online. How do I do it? Mac/Linux solutions preffered, but I can get my hands on a Windows machine if needed. ---

Rig up a little smartphone stand out of paper clip wire, hit record on phone, point at screen. Move a speaker close enough to the phone so it gets good audio. Stack the whole rig on a couple books for that eye level perspective. In for more elegant solutions. ---

This may not actually be a problem after all I’d like to keep my options open though, so I am going to try out some of the suggestions. Thanks!
