What does it do just clean your engine? ---

Just read a bunch of threads on the Vortex. It just dissolves/cleans carbon. Put it in the gas tank, motor oil, and intake mani. I’ve read nothing but positive feedback. It makes the engine run smoother. I’ll probably toss a bottle into the gas tank today, then this weekend do the oil and intake. Shortly (almost immediately) thereafter I’ll do an oil and filter change, as well as change my fuel filter in case it loosened up some nastiness in my gas tank. Apparently when you do the intake, the car will be billowing white smoke for about 5 minutes so it’s recommended taht you do this in a secluded spot so that the neighbors don’t get pissed or call the fire department. ---

i planned on just driving around my block, spewing it :). Ill toss one in the tank and one in the Mani, dont have the cash for an oil change right now. will it cause smoke when the stuff is in the tank? ---

I haven’t read anything about smoking when it’s in the tank. Be warned though, I read a lot about having to change the oil after you do the mani. I guess in some cases it can slip past the piston rings and get into the oil and thin the oil out pretty significantly. Just keep an eye on it. Swap your old oil/filter for dino oil and a cheap filter if need be for less than $10. ---

i guess i don’t see the point, i have never cleaned the intake other than spraying some carb cleaner to clean my TB plate, for some reason my intake is as clean as a whistly even though it has over 215K on it. but i guess if you just want to see smoke pooring from your car go for it. ---

maybe I"ll seafoam the focus… it runs like ass… but I think that it’s got something to do wtih my exhaust manifold leak… but it is a ford… I dont think anything can make it worse :)… Not on the ghia though… I cleaned all the parts by hand while they were out of the motor one by one last year 🙂 ---

People love this stuff we sell a ton of it. We got it in about 6 months ago and I have heard great things about it. I just bought a bottle myself but I have yet to run it through my car yet. ---

Who’s “we”? And I just got done running a can through the gas tank and maybe it’s just a strong placebo effect, but it feelsl like it surges less now. Going to do the intake and crank case this weekend, followed by ditching the all-winter-long Amsoil for some fresh Mobile 1. :tup: ---

so if u put this stuff in the crank case, do u just dump it in where u would normally fill the oil? and how long should u run the engin b4 changing the oil after? im serriously thinking about doing this, but i still have my doubts. ---

Normaly people do the induction method and not the crankcase method. ---

depends on what you wanna do if you wanna clean the intake shit for results you can see and feel, induction method if you want to like, pour something harsher than gasoline into your oil to ‘clean’ the inside of your engine, well, you’re braver than me ---

used it today. big :tup:. that shit smelled fuckin rank… and i dont think phil (our landlord) was very happy about the huge cloud of smoke lol. but you can def. feel the difrence. car idles a lot smother, pulls a bit harder, ect… ---
