I finished the apprenticeship for residential wireman (electrician). I’m now in as an inside journeyman apprentice which is the commercial/industrial equivalent. Still with Electrical Service & Systems Installations (ESSI) and IBEW Local 41. Better career path. More work, better pay, beefy pension. ---

It will be 14 years come October that I’ve been working for the same company. Still sitting in front of a computer designing insulation covers. ---

Worked for HP then Agilent Technologies for many years. Took an early retirement and started my own shop. Got tired of working as a number for a large corporation. Working on cars and more importantly for myself is much better. ---
