# How do you know when...

You need to change your trans mount? i noticed my shifter moving around a decent amount when my car hits bumps and such so im just wondering. Also last issue… sometimes the car bogs out / down when i stop it and i have the heater on. No idea on this one.

when you get on it and let off quickly and hear a clunk along with it shifts funny

does that sometimes… i dont really drive it that hard … plus it can be a tough getting it into first gear at a stop.

it has lifter tap and 89k on it… i think it far surpassed the 35k warrant ford had on it.

Your shifter or your entire tranny and stick?
possibly worn out plastic ball grommet thing if its hard to get first and sloppy.
similar to darkstars moms vag.

yeah little hard to get into first / second at a stop or going slow. and whole shifter bounces up and down when i go over bump and moves when i get down on it.

pull the shifter and check the grommet on the nub of it. Grease it up :naughty: or replace it.
I dont know the technical name for it. it seats the stick into tranny.
stupid 10 cent part
