Good advice… Time \> \* when it comes to your 401K and company match FTW. My 401K did dip quite a bit a few years ago but time has brought it back. ---

Like others have said, when you start paying for Bennys, 401K, and all that stuff, be lucky if you take home half of that, and then of THAT money you can spend another half on Property taxes and insurances. Basically when you “grow up” the government and others have their hand on about 75% of your money, before you can really spend it. X… ---

the only benefit i have to pay for is some extra Aflac accident insurance i picked up, covers me for almost anything stupid that i might do and hurt myself. My company pays 100% of normal medical. But just looked at today’s check, i have to pay FICA, FED, PA State, PA UC??, LwrGwy(township), BC/BS (?), and OPT(?) ---

i lose ~29% to taxes I spend ~11% on bene’s (sweet ins. for two, 401, deferrals, etc) -edit- Going by Joes numbers, I lose ~32% to taxes (Im not near my stubs, sorry) ---

Although what does suck is that I prob make like 40% of my salary via a bonus, which is instantly fucked for 40%, but keeps me in a diff tax bracket… ---

My base was taxed at 25% or something like that and my commissions were taxed at 40% or so. Basically the same tax rate used for bonuses.
