# how much engine oil blacktop sr 96-98

hey guys im wondering how much engine oil a 96-98 blacktop sr would take, i poured in 4 litres seems about right on the dipstick but its giving me a weird reading let me know asap thanks…

4L is too much. Its 3.7L with the filter.

yeah i usually used to go 3.5 and a bit, and i’d end up topping up the other .5 before my next change

From the various source I’ve gathered that the SR dipstick is known to  
give incorrect oil level readings. :dunno:

yea mine took 4 jugs of amsoil (4 quartz) 948ml x 4 = 3792ml so yea thats about right… thanks…
